Word Quest Terms of Service

1. Overview and Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Word Quest (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
There is no age restriction for using the App. To access online features, you may sign in using Google. Your display name from your Google profile may be used within the App. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and device.
3. In‑App Purchases and Advertising
The App is free-to-play and supported by advertising. You may purchase an ad removal option to disable advertisements. Certain gameplay elements may include virtual items or coins. These are for entertainment only, have no monetary value, and are not redeemable for cash.
We may add, change, or remove features, virtual items, or advertising at any time. In-app purchases are processed through Google Play Store and subject to Google's terms and refund policies.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) misuse the App; (b) interfere with or disrupt servers or networks; (c) attempt to reverse engineer or circumvent security (including Firebase App Check / Play Integrity); (d) use the App to violate any law or third‑party rights.
5. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the App (including code, artwork, and gameplay) are owned by the developer. You are granted a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non‑commercial purposes.
6. Online Features and Data Storage
The App offers both offline and online gameplay modes. Online features include global rankings/leaderboards and cloud-saved game data. Participation in online features requires a Google account and internet connection.
Your game progress and statistics may be stored in the cloud to enable cross-device synchronization. Leaderboard data may be visible to other users globally.
7. Third‑Party Services
The App uses Google Firebase services (including Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, App Check, Analytics, and Crashlytics) and Google AdMob for advertising. Your use of these services is also subject to Google's terms and policies.
7. Disclaimers
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error‑free operation, or that the App will be free from harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the App.
9. Account Deletion and Suspension
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Account deletion will permanently remove all your game data, progress, and cloud saves. This action cannot be undone.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or pose a risk to the App or other users.
10. Notifications and Communications
The App may send push notifications related to gameplay, updates, or new features. You can disable these notifications through your device settings at any time.
11. Changes to the App and Terms
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be effective when posted in the App. Your continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction (UK)
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
