Work Log Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 November 2025

1. Overview

Work Log (the "App") is a productivity tool for tracking work hours. The App is designed to minimise data collection. We do not store your manual entries on our own servers. Only aggregated analytics, crash diagnostics, and advertising identifiers are processed through trusted Google services, and you can opt out at any time.

2. Information We Collect

On-device entries: Shift details, rates, notes, and tags you create stay on your device unless you opt into Google sync in a future release. We do not receive, transmit, or store these manual records.

Analytics (optional): If you consent, Google Firebase Analytics records anonymous usage events (e.g., screen views, button taps) using device/app identifiers. Analytics data helps us understand feature adoption and improve the App.

Crash diagnostics: Google Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports, stack traces, and device metadata (model, OS version) to help diagnose issues. Crash reports do not include your shift entries.

3. Advertising

Work Log displays banner ads powered by Google AdMob. You can choose between personalised ads (using the Google advertising ID) or non-personalised/contextual ads. If you opt out of personalised ads, Google will limit itself to non-personalised advertising while the App remains supported by ads.

The App includes in-app controls that allow you to opt out of ad personalisation at any time. You can also reset or limit ad personalisation through your device settings or Google account.

4. How We Use Information

  • Monitor app stability, diagnose bugs, and resolve crashes.
  • Understand feature usage trends to improve productivity workflows (when analytics is enabled).
  • Serve and measure advertising that funds ongoing development, respecting your consent choices.

5. Consent and Opt-Out Controls

When you first launch the App, you can choose whether to enable analytics and personalised advertising. Your choice is remembered and can be changed at any time from the Privacy & Ads settings screen.

  • Disable analytics: Turn off usage analytics to stop sending event data to Firebase Analytics.
  • Opt out of personalised ads: Switch to non-personalised ads or hide advertising ID usage.
  • Crash reporting: Crashlytics runs to ensure stability; you can disable crash reporting in settings if you prefer not to share diagnostics.

6. Data Sharing and Processors

To deliver analytics, crash diagnostics, and advertising, we rely on Google LLC as a data processor. Google processes data in accordance with its policies and may store information on servers located worldwide.

Learn more: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

7. Data Retention

On-device shift records remain until you delete the App or clear data. Analytics, crash, and advertising data are retained by Google following their retention schedules and may not be fully deletable by us. You can request the removal of analytics data linked to your Google account via Google’s privacy controls.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards and rely on Google Play Security features (such as Play Integrity) to protect the App. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or erase personal data processed by Google. Manage Google-associated data through your Google account privacy dashboard. For questions about data handled directly by Nepherius, contact us below.

10. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material updates will be highlighted in the App or on our website.
